Endless Summer Exhibit
I was so excited to join Kristen Marie Brown for this sunny, sandy, sweet, all things summer exhibit at OKC Myriad Botanical Gardens, one of my absolute favorite places.
The exhibit ran from June 6th through July 25th, 2023 in the Conservatory South Lobby. It was the best to be in such a beautiful space which welcomes visitors from around the world. I also enjoyed my art being in a space visited by so many families with children.
Here’s the description of my art from the exhibit:
“Cindy Guthrie is an Oklahoma City artist, originally from Dallas, Texas. She works in acrylic on canvas, sometimes adding paper, oil pastels, beach sand and really, almost anything.
Her inspirations for this collection include: The movie Endless Summer, Bruce Brown Films (and documentary), and @underthesycamore Ashley Campbell and family, following their yearlong travel around the world, chasing summer.
The other major idea is adoration and caring for the precious gift of Earth as adoration and worship of our own Creator, God.
Most of the works are painted from Cindy’s own photos and travels, a few with permission from other kind photographers.” (Photographers will be credited individually in listing descriptions.)
Original paintings, from small 4x4 inches to large 36x48 inches, as well as art prints and other giftables are available for sale at the exhibit, and my unsold works will be listed here after the exhibit ends.
