The Takeoff || 16 x 16

It seems funny to say, but until earlier this year, it had not occurred to me that flamingos could actually fly.  I had always seen them in a zoo setting in the US.  It was so stunning to see them in flight, in real life, in the Bahamas and such a surprise!  It’s also amazing and a joy the things I continue to learn as I get older—something new every day!

I painted three flamingo paintings for the Endless Summer collection, all in flight!

Original acrylic painting.  Painting is wired and ready to hang, edges are painted, and painting is protected with archival varnish.  Artist signed on front and back of painting.
